PRODUCT CARE

Peppero Pfeffermühlen

Starting up

  1. Setting the fineness: Turn the setting screw on the bottom completely to the left (counter-clockwise)
  2. Filling with pepper: Stand the mill upright. Unscrew the knob by turning counter-clockwise, and lift the column drum upwards. Fill with peppercorns. Place the column drum evenly on the bevel drive and turn until the drum slides onto the drive. Screw the knob loosely back in place.
  3. Check: There should be a distance of at least 1mm between the knob and the drum.
  4. Priming the mill: Turn the column drum clockwise until the grind of the pepper is a consistent size.
  5. Getting the precise fineness: Turn the setting screw on the underside slightly clockwise. Repeat points 4 and 5 until the desired fineness is achieved.

Tips & Servicing

  • Always discard the first grinding after a) refilling the Peppero and/or b) changing the fineness grade.
  • Refill often to maintain a consistent volume and aroma.
  • Changing the pepper type: Empty the mill; grind out any remains, and begin again with step 1, "Setting the fineness."
  • From time to time, remove moist pepper remains with a dry brush.
  • Clean the outside with a lightly-moistened microfiber cloth.
  • Never tighten the top knob completely.
  • Never immerse the mill in water or place in a dishwasher.
  • Wood components should never be oiled.
